Originally the Methodist Central Hall, it was first opened in 1960 and incorporated a much older shop frontage opening onto King Edward Street.
The venue was bought by Jubilee Church, a local charity in 2013 who have since modernised the building and it is rapidly gaining a reputation for being a leading venue in the city. Now it houses a 630-seater auditorium, a 120 capacity multipurpose hall and numerous other rooms that are perfect for one off events or regular group bookings.
