Originally the Methodist Central Hall, it was first opened in 1960 and incorporated a much older shop frontage opening onto King Edward Street.
The venue was bought by Jubilee Church, a local charity in 2013 who have since modernised the building and it is rapidly gaining a reputation for being a leading venue in the city. Now it houses a 630-seater auditorium, a 120 capacity multipurpose hall and numerous other rooms that are perfect for one off events or regular group bookings.
With Hull Paragon Interchange just 5 minute walk from the venue, Jubilee Central is an excellent location. There are excellent train links to Hull Paragon Station direct from Leeds, Sheffield and London and bus links provided to the rest of Hull and East Riding. Road links are also good with the A63 bringing you right into the centre of the city from the West and the A1079 from the North.
Jubilee Central is fully accessible to those with limited mobility. There is ramp access into the building through our Waltham Street Entrance and an internal lift to the first floor. There are fully equipped disabled toilets on the ground floor.
Jubilee Central has a small car park which makes loading straight-forward and there are a number of car parks (both Council and privately owned) within close walking distance of the venue. The closest car parks to the building are:
Albion Street (short stay) - 1 minute walk.
Prospect Centre – 2 minute walk
Pryme Street (multi-story long stay) – 5 minute walk
Princes Quay – 5 minute walk
Situated in the middle of the city centre, Jubilee Central is surrounded by an excellent choice of hotels and other accommodation within walking distance.
